A Week in the Park
Called my Dad on a commute home from work and he casually mentioned that he had a cabin booked just outside Yosemite in a few weeks, he was going to do some hiking by himself. I've been trying this thing recently where if I have an impulse to do something positive, whether it's for myself or someone else, don't talk myself out of it. So in this case the impulse was to join my Dad the spend a week together in nature. Instead of internally debating whether the vacation days are worth it, I just went for it. Reflecting back on the week now there is no doubt that it was well worth it, despite the couple of tourists we bumped into.

The fullscreen editor is indeed pretty nice and there's a little callout in the top left corner when autosaving. And it's quite easy to use the classic command-S shortcut to save.
